Artwork by Delphine Schwarze [family and community member]

The land always knew the blessings to come, as two powerful, passionate, heart driven women embarked on a journey to create a community where children would continue to flourish.

This painting depicts many different elements of Child Side, including the love for nature, coming together as one and lifelong connections.

The yarning circles are painted in warm earthy tones with intricate designs and patterns that represent the unique Aboriginal culture and the colours of the land with which we stand on.

“Yarning circles” or “Meeting Place” represent a place of connection, a place to yarn, eat, learn and laugh.

The shades of blue portray the significance of the blue skies seen all around.  Its always been a time of reflection for when there once was only the land and blue skies.
