Our Tuesday morning outdoor playgroup runs between 9:30 and 11:30am and engages families and children between 0-4 with each other, our Playgroup Listener and the expansive early childhood outdoor learning environment.

Our Playgroup Listener helps set the culture of learning for families and creates positive interactions supporting active, curious and creative children. The role of the ‘Listener’ is deliberately chosen to actively listen and observe children, guiding their interactions so that everything they do becomes a constructive learning opportunity aligned with Dr Louise Porters Guiding Children’s Behaviour and Maggie Dent’s Resiliency Tool Box.

Child Side Playgroup operates with the assumptions that families are there to positively engage with their own and other people’s children, enjoying exploring a different space and simple community rhythms of sharing fruit, a story and a song together.

Playgroup is the beginning of the village approach helping each other to raise robust, healthy, motivated children through realistic and kind interactions.
