fees

what is the cost of childhood?
childhood Vs education…
at child side playgroup & school children have both!

fees

Fee schedules are set each year at the start of Term 1. Fees and the recurrent funding we receive from federal and state governments (based on numbers of children) help us to cover the running costs of the school. Child Side school, unlike many other schools also provides and covers  stationery.  Food preparation is part of the curriculum at Child Side which involves the children in lunch preparation and incurs no further cost to families.

Family fees are what keep us afloat and are the price we pay for ‘independence’, and it is important to pay fees at the beginning of each term to help with the school’s cash flow. Please contact the administrator for direct debit details, other forms of payment or if you require a flexible payment plan.

However, fees never cover all the costs and the school operates on the goodwill of staff, parents and other key people. As such fund raising is an important part of helping the school to cover the costs, and is a core focus of the Parent and Friend group.

conveyance allowance

Families who live more than 4.5km from the school may be entitled to financial assistance to cover the cost of travel to and from school, as there is no bus service for the school. The conveyance allowance is available from the Department of Infrastructure. Families can submit a one-off on-line application for transport assistance (this must be done prior to commencing the first day at Child Side) and then claim reimbursement at the end of each term by completing an on-line conveyance claim form.
